Reviving this (relatively) old thread—I have a flight on SQ 34 SIN-SFO coming up in October, and unsurprisingly cannot book either row 11 or row 19. Interestingly, though, ExpertFlyer is showing that row 11 is blocked, but row 19 is available (albeit 2 seats have been booked). Have folks had any success booking row 19 lately by calling, or are they quasi-blocked for passengers who need the bassinet?

I was able to book bulkhead J on a SIN-MEL award flt well ahead of the flt. Not sure if that's considered longhaul. Leading up to it on LAX-SIN I was not able to book bulkhead until the flt got closer.

Not a route I fly but believe SQ uses the regional A350 these days to MEL. On that aircraft I think SQ reserves a few seats that are closer to window rather than aisle for TPPS. In other words, 12A would be blocked rather than 11A. Someone else here may have more insight.

Just booked a roundtrip to Germany with the VTL. Was surprised to see row 19 was available at booking on SQ26 (about 45 days from departure). I am KF*S, but didn't think that had bearing (only PPS). Was also surprised to see the first 5 rows were blocked (or booked?!).

19 is usually available as it is a baby bassinet. First row of Biz, depending on a/c type 11 or 15, is blocked.

While I've not been travelling since 2019, Row 11 and 19 on the 350 LH/MH have for several years been blocked for PPS. I have a preference for 19 on the 350 LH due to it having a slightly wider footwell area as 11A/K are slightly affected by the fuselage's curvature. For me these allocations are usually made automatically as it's stored in my profile. think you might just be lucky rather than this being reflective of a change in SQ's policy.
It is correct that most flights into MEL are currently the 350 MH but I expect some flights to transition back to the 77W towards the end of the year as more are brought back into service, in which case 11 is by far the most desirable seat. If you do end up on a 350 MH though, there's not a huge difference between any seats but I do find 11/19 have a slightly deeper footwell area.
Now if only I had a booking to be able to test it out for myself...!

Blocked - This has been standard on longhaul flights during Covid. On board rows 11-14 have signage stating they are reserved for crew (*on the ULR there is also 10A that was almost always blocked pre-covid) . Although I'm a bit surprised SQ is maintaining this on a VTL flight as well.

Wow, so those rows never open up, even at check-in? On the one hand, I don’t mind that, as I’m currently in Row 15 and wouldn’t mind having half the cabin empty/used intermittently by crew. On the other hand, would sure love a chance at a bulkhead…plus strong chance the cabin would be pretty empty regardless.

Was the front business cabin ever available, or was it blocked from the time that you made your booking? Wondering if they'll end up moving us...

I was very recently on SQ23...rows 15 -17 were available and indeed several pax were seated in these rows (10-14 were blocked). Thus, you should be fine if you are in one of these rows. I was in 19A...the rest of row 19 was empty as was all of row 20. By the way, for what it's worth, we had 33 pax (14 in J, 19 in PE).
