Deplane Front or Back of Cabin SQ 25 in FRA?

I'm flying from JFK to FRA in Business on SQ 25. I've assigned myself 96. Last row/bulk head. I have a fairly tight train connection when I arrive in Frankfurt and am wondering if I am better off moving further toward the front of the cabin. This will be my first A380 flight!

Curious about this too, as I have a tight connecting flight.

Unlike most EU carrier, SQ rarely deplane from the back usually front and middle.
Same goes with my SQ25 JFK-SIN.

Front. Just flew SQ25 last month in 96A. J was full. LH provided an escort otherwise we wouldn't have made our 1-hour connection at FRA. I suggest sitting nearer to the front and making a dash for it when the doors open.

Front. So first and second compartment would be best to get out fast.

JFK-FRA F AND Y boarded door 2 and disembarked door 1. Not sure which door Upper deck was hooked up to.

FRA deplanes M1L, M2L, U1L.

As an aside I'm not sure that there is any airport that allows disembarkation through any door of the A380 upper deck other than U1L.

Looking at schematic on page 35, I agree if upper deck door is being used, it will be door 1.

As you know I am taking SQ #25 into FRA. If on time, it lands at 10:40am. I booked myself on a 12:52 ICE train. Have I left myself enough time, or should I try to switch to a later train? I don't want to leave it to chance day off because walk up fares can be quite expensive. Thanks!

I should mention that I will also have a checked bag.

If you mean an ICE train from the airport station, I think that should be enough time as long as the flight isn't delayed. Once you're off the plane you just have to clear immigration, collect bags, walk through customs, and head to the train station which is maybe a 10 minute walk. Hard to imagine that taking 2 hours unless something goes horribly wrong. But of course a non-trivial delay on the flight could change the calculus.

One caveat to the above is that I'm an EU citizen so I just go through the gates at FRA, I've never had to line up for immigration. I don't remember ever seeing huge lines but maybe others have more experience with this.

In November I connected from SQ25 (which arrives 0940 in winter) to a 13:02 ICE with plenty of time to spare — had at least two hours I think. No line at non-EU immigration at that time, and bags came off pretty quick as well. Shouldn't be any different at 1040 I think since the bulk of the longhaul arrivals would have been over by then (a quick check shows that the only other longhaul flight is LH from GRU at 1045, but Google shows that parking at the Z gates these few days). So barring any delays you should be fine.

Thanks so much. I did it a few years ago but couldn't remember if I had 2 or 3 hours.

I did something similar two weeks ago except my train departs 11:22 (42 minute after JFK-FRA). Flight arrived at gate 10:47. I was first one off, used EU passport kiosks due to prior easypass-RTP enrollment and no check bags. Was landslide around 11 and at train platform around 11:10.

I would say anything departing after 12 would be safe as long as the SQ flight is not delayed.

Did something similar a week ago, except that it was an LH flight leaving at 1125 am. The walk to the A gates is a pain but I made it with plenty of time.

You should be fine.
