Will a cheapo economy class trigger the Krisflyer Gold requirement?

Looks like an eligible flight can be on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir in any booking class except ‘G’ within four months of registration. Award and codeshare flights are not eligible for this accelerated upgrade.

The other part of this campaign is transfer between the two programs. But I'm shocked at the horrendous transfer rates between KrisFlyer and Golden Circle.

12 KF miles = 1 GC point
1 GC point = 1.25 miles

That means to get a free night at the Shangri-La Kowloon would be 78,000 KF miles, when you can usually buy this room for $250-$400/night. That values KF miles at less than $US0.005 per mile! Shockingly awful.

Last year I was offered Jade status as a benefit of being a LH SEN. Now it's the same for being PPS.
Would have loved to get Diamond status thanks to PPS status.
The Centurion card gets you Diamond status btw.

Just linked my accounts.. I am Shangri-la Diamond but my KF status did not get updated..

Have you taken that one eligible flight since linking your accounts? That would seem to be a prerequisite for your KF status to update.

It's the equivalent of the Marriott/United tie up, where UA Gold gets you Marriott Gold (and now SPG Gold)

As soon as you get the KF gold after the 3 flights do you know how to retain KF gold? is it directly linked to your Jade/Diamond membership?

its for 1 year then you have to accumulate miles to retain Gold

I still have not gotten my KF gold and it's been 22 days since my qualifying flight.. hmm..

4-6 weeks is in their terms of getting status matched

i status matched and got my email confirming KFES 1 week after.
Card would take 4-6 weeks to reach me via Mail

I never received the KF Silver card after gaining Shangri La Jade via the AMEX promo. I've flown 2 segments (which if silver should have had more miles) and have a 3rd a month away which would take me to gold.

I can't find any emails or anything on my profile about the registration for the promo which I'm pretty sure I did. Definitely have linked Shangri La and KF accounts showing mid Jan.

Where do you look in the account for the confirmation of registration?? I'm now doubting myself and think maybe I didn't click 'register' and only linked the accounts. Can't find any emails.

Big scheme not a major but just wanted gold and maybe soft land silver for bonus miles flying SQ.
