SQ/MI fares pegged to USD?

I'm US based and need to purchase flights originating in SIN this summer.

I've been checking fares daily, using MI's Singapore based website. I've been hoping to take advantage of the SGD's slide against the USD, but it seems as the SGD slides, the quoted fares increase and remain constant in USD terms.

I'm guessing there's something that pegs fares to USD even though they are being quoted in SGD?

Exchange rate is probably static for that fare. Read about NUC and Rate here -- http://blog.wandr.me/2015/02/methinks-i-am-a-hypocrite/

Don't buy fares on SQ ex SIN, they're always expensive. The S$ didn't depreciate that much against the US$.

In my perspective it did. Used to be US$1 = S$1.25 a year ago and now it's around S$1.38-9.
