Singapore Suites TYO - SIN route?!

Hi there

I am looking to complete my open jaw in Asia with the Singapore Suites.

I am pretty hell-bent on going to Tokyo, so I thought the TYO - SIN in Singapore suites route looked like it could work for my itin. But open to other suggestions.

#1 Has anyone flown this route? I've seen TR for several other routes (JFK-FRA, LAX-TYO, SIN-SYD, for instance) but haven't come across any reports for the TYO to SIN route.

#2 I saw online that the miles needed is 51k (which is 60k after 15% discount). Not sure about the fees though, anyone know how I can find this out?

#3 Also willing to consider other Asia/Oceania routes if they are better, i.e., SIN - SYD may also work. Def wanna get good bang for the mile on this one

TIA! ^^^

Looked at a random date with Saver availability. NRT-SIN on SQ11 (A380) is 51000 KF and JPY 14640 in taxes/fees.

The reverse route (SIN-NRT) is the same price in KF and taxes/fees are SGD 197.70

Not sure about #3...

Thanks so much!!!! Excellent links and great info. Really reasonable amount for taxes and YQ. Looks like a great route, so maybe we will get on this route.

Can a KF account with no miles look up saver availability? Will need to start looking into that soon (before I do the miles transfer obviously).

We were able to look up availability with no miles, and then transfer in AMEX and Chase points, which took a couple of days. We well worth it. Not only a great flight, but the Singapore airport is a real gem as well.

FYI, SQ lowered their fuel surcharges starting Feb. 26 so they may be slightly lower than I quoted above
