SGD $23,000 ($18K USD) trip in F on A380 SIN-JFK

Here's a link that some of us been circulating around, hot off the press & titled "What it’s like to Fly the $23,000 Singapore Airlines Suites Class" SIN to JFK with a 2 hour layover at FRA - author flown it using FT miles, some great photos - so dream on. Hmmm ... noticed he wasn't wearing socks at all, urrrr

Yea, this has gone rather viral.

He got some really spectacular photos there, good promotional material for SQ. May be SQ should give him back something

But having flown in that cabin a few times, I must say that his fish eye lens make it appear larger and more spacious than it actually is.

Really enjoyed the blog anyway.

SQ better milk this while they can before the 'What's it like to Fly the $40,000 Etihad's The Residence experience from SYD to LHR with a 2 hour layover in AUH' .

In the Uk national news now: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...xperience.html

Not sure why he is so special, I've seen dozens of SQ F Suites reports.

I was thinking the same thing. It does look at lot bigger than it actually is.

Why has this gone viral??

Tone is positive coupled with descriptive pictures. If the author has his website set up right, probably recoup his cost in advertising fees in the next few days see-ing the attention given !

Also if compared to other TR's, the author has his own domain so easier to contact/verify not an advert post

Oops.

Well he's been found to have stolen pictures and plagiarised parts of the report. http://www.reddit.com/r/singapore/co...pore_airlines/

Thanks for the great link, Letitride3c!

Besides the images I am very impressed by the coffee selection. ^

At most airlines coffee ist just an undervalued part of the service.

Yup seems as though some of the post is copied - http://mustsharenews.com/blogger-plagiarises-story/

louie-m Oct 1, 2014 6:33 am

So how many miles would this have cost?

VPsych Oct 1, 2014 7:05 am

Maybe I missed it, but is there a chair or anything with seat belts on it in case of turbulence when you're on the full size bed? Or do the FAs move you into another room?

Just a heads up, it appears that much of the content in this review was lifted from other reviews: http://www.reddit.com/r/singapore/co...pore_airlines/

I have no idea why this went viral...

Maybe I should be like him and go all gila (crazy) in my descriptions for my flights and hotel entries...

On the other hand, I'm writing just for my own interest. Keeping my day job definitely.

trigleek Oct 1, 2014 8:18 am

This one definitely went viral though I'm not sure if that's the clientele SQ was hoping for to advertise their product. He didn't mention the cost of KF miles but it should have been 93,500 KrisFlyer miles + ~$400 if he booked it using the SQ website.

That's a huge discount compared to $23,000!
