Maximizing the Suites experience

Hello Krispeople,

I'm going to be flying your lovely airline next month from Frankfurt-Singapore in Suites, a nice layover in Singapore (long enough hopefully to briefly go into town and then come back for the Private Room at Changi), Singapore First SIN-HKG, then Cathay F back to the States. Lots of flying for no apparent reason other than I'm turning 30 and just want to fly for a while.

With your experience, what secrets should I know about maximizing both my experience in the air in Suites and on the ground at TPR? Any tips? Must dos/avoid doings?

Congratulations on turning 30!

I can fully emphathise, and you've come to the right place where likeminded people (at times) enjoy flying more than the destinations themselves... SQ Suites, SQ F, CX F - you've indeed picked the best of the bunch!

I just did the opposite SIN LHR suites SQ LHR ORD BA F ORD HKG CX F :D

Suites if the middle seats are open have the FA's make you a double bed. Try all the wines they will do a tasting for you.

Since you're flying off in F/R, you can check-in at the dedicated SQ First Class check-in wing of T3 for exclusivity... Not that there'll ever be a queue in the First Class counter in the main part of the terminal though (then again, I hardly ever saw much of a queue in SQ's coach check-in counters!)

Check in 48 hours before scheduled departure time at Changi, then hopefully you will have enough time to sample at least half of all of the menu choices in the TPR.

TPR closes after last ex-SIN flight of the day (usually around 2am), you may overnight at F/J lounge as they open 24 hours. But I would suggest paying for the Transit Hotel for a proper bed.

Breakfast end at 10:30 so wake up early. Items for lunch and dinner is probably the same.
