Ive read on some posts, where if you had your spouse on a confirmed suite, some Singapore agents were able to get you into suites using kf award, would this be a good idea to puraches a REFUNDABLE suites ticket with cash for your "spouse", call up Singapore and tell them you want to join your spouse on their paid suites, then once your confirmed on suites usin kf award your cancel your spouses refundable ticket and get the cash refund and your confirm ed on a suite?.

you should wait list the flights first, as you will need sufficient miles to be able to wait list any flight online. once you've wait listed the flights you've wanted, go ahead and book the confirmed one.
if your wait list clears you will need to re-deposit your miles (re deposit fee will apply) and confirm the other booking. hope it helps!

Hi SFO777 I'm 1/1 on having my waitlisted suite redemption clear. It was for SQ11 LAX-NRT and cleared about a week out.
Matthewlax has also reported success below:

I just made a "wait-listed booking" for one Suites seat for SIN-LAX SQ12 in August.
Now off to find a back-up.

It is for 2 seats, so maybe the chances of it clearing are low anyway.

Just a note though, you should check frequently if availability comes up on your waitlisted dates or not.
For instance, I waitlisted SIN-JFK on Jan 11th and confirmed my booking on the 7th (this was about 2 weeks ago.) A few days later I did a search again for availability and found the 11th open, but I was still on waitlist. I was able to cancel my waitlist booking and switched myself over to the 11th online without any fees.

I waitlisted my wife's ticket in the new First Class (NRT-SIN) and Suites (SIN-NRT) and both were cleared very quickly (one took a few hrs only and the other one was waitlisted on Friday and cleared by the next Monday).

This trip was for how early in advance?
Thinking to book for my folks for next year on suites for Sakura but I've got no idea how early in advance to book it.

I'm looking to book 2 suites class with KF miles SIN-SYD.
I've read some 2 year old posts about that flight not being a 'full service' suite flight- ie: no pajamas, etc. But I've also read that SIN-NRT IS full service (equal to a flight from the US), even though SIN-NRT is an hour shorter flight than SIN-SYD!???!?
Is this still the case, or is the SIN-SYD still a 'lesser' experience? This is kinda a 1 time shot for me and, with spending miles for 2 people, i want the whole experience, not a lesser one. I live in asia 1/2 time and she full time- so a US originating flight is not an option. we already have the trip to SYD planned with the Park Hyatt at the old rate.
Thanks.

If you book the overnight SQ221/SQ231, you'll get pyjamas and the amenity kit.
SQ221 has a full multi-course meal service, while SQ231 is a "sleeper service" where you only get a main course/BTC dish.
In reality, the flight is really too short to maximize the experience if you want to enjoy the full meal and get some rest. If I were to do it again, I'd dine in TPR and maybe enjoy an entree/dessert on board then get some sleep.

Any SQ R or F flt 7hrs and greater will get you PJs. Any R or F flt will get you amenity pack. Yes flt timing and duration will determine meal service - if in doubt best check beforehand. It does seem a bit of a waste spending nts in R or F as you do not get to experience full F service - so IMH if you can swing daytime flts at all then go that way.
