Well that'd be quite odd considering that flights to AKL are both longer and more expensive in J than those to SYD.

Think that's the issue though - SYD can be quite easily done using 1 aircraft a day, AKL not quite (or only just).

Yes, but my flight in August is operated by a B777-200ER.

Hi all, anybody actually flew this new J class ? Looks like the yeti to me, read on SQ website but no picture or review anywhere, only on the SQ website (under the business class product list, at the bottom, 1 picture)

Dear Durian,

That photo you are looking at is the old business class (with the "aubergine colour scheme").

You want to be looking at the top of that page under "Latest long-haul Business Class product". That's the one for the "refitted 777-200ER"

Hi, thanks So this is just a retrofit with the existing product, right I get it, they are just getting rid of the old old J class... I was hoping for something new

You are correct. I believe they will launch new products with the delivery of the A350. However, realistically, this will be in 2015 by the time anyone gets to sit in them.
