Prefered seat Selection
 

Hi,

I have booked a ticket in Y. I went on the SQ website to purchase a preferred seat. I selected the seat and pressed confirm selection. It didnt ask me to pay. in my inbox i got an e-mail confirming the seat is mine.

Have they given the seat for free? Will they call me to complete the purchase?

If I'm not mistaken, they will not charge you until check-in time, when you make a firm confirmation about your seat.

It happened to me as well, booked a P seat at booking and they never asked me to agree on the billing, just informing me that it does cost extra.
At OLCI, I changed my seat to upper deck (not avail at time of booking) and never got charged on the initial P seat.
Keep your confirmation email though, in case there is any "problem" when you do your check-in.

You got lucky. There was a bug in the system for a while. And if you are not charged, even though you have been assigned a preferred seat, it will be free. They fixed the bug a few days back. :(
