KIX-SIN
I'm in business (it is a 2-class aircraft) ... anything to look forward to (other than trying to catch some sleep)? It is a red-eye from KIX (dep 11:30pm) and a bleary-eye from SIN (dep 1:20am) :D

On shorter redeye flights like this, meal options will be right after take off or 2 hours before landing I believe. Not sure about KIX, but you could have your supper at the SKL in SIN and recline all the way (not 180 deg flat on the A333) once the seatbelt signs have been turned off. Honestly speaking, it's very difficult to "maximise" a night flight in terms of service, if that's what you're looking for. Most people would choose to make full use of the business class seats to get some rest on board. Bear in mind that SQ618 SIN-KIX is daily, however your return on SQ615 KIX-SIN operates on days 1,4,5 only. |
Thanks! I was just curious, having not flown this leg before. Yes, sleep/rest are my #1 plans as well ... as this will be the culmination of a long flight from SFO.

There is nothing to look forward to, sorry. Just another airplane and a few hours sleep.
I have been on these red-eye flights almost every week for the last couple months (SIN-Japan/China/Korea) and they are not that bad. I decline the meal (you can have it right after takeoff or just before landing) and go right to sleep; I wake up once the pilot makes his arrival announcement about 40-ish minutes before landing. KrisWorld on the A333 is pretty decent, so if you can't sleep at least there is some entertainment with on-demand movies. Of course, if you do stay up the service is fine and attentive, per SQ SOP. |
Skip the meal service and go straight to sleep. That extra 2 hours of sleep makes a world of difference when you head to work the next day.
