Base accrual: $10,000 / 1.2 = 8,333 Monthly accelerator: 300 x 9 = 2,700 First swipe bonus: 5,000 $10k full fee welcome bonus: 35,000 = Pay $256.80 annual fee, swipe $10k, get 51,033 miles, doubt there's any better offer in SG right now. Other $35k I dunno, maybe UOB like what w4rd said. |

Since we're discussing overseas transaction fees -- what are some of the best cards in terms of overseas fees and miles accrual? I generally use my PRVIMiles MC but the fees are quite high.
Recently, CIMB announced that its World MC and Visa Signature cards would waive the bank administrative charge of 1.5%. So you will only be charged Visa/MC's fees of 1% for the currency conversion. These two cards are rebates based though. I also saw an ad for a BOC Visa Infinite card just recently. They also announced the bank administrative charge would be waived. Again, its a rebate based card IIRC. |

[snip] "Monthly accelerator: 300 x 18 = 5,400" and therefore "Get 53,733 miles", given that one gets 300 bonus miles for every S$500 spent (on top of the first S$1k)? |
