The new Java no longer has Medium. Only High and Very High - that's why the EZ-Link website asks that you include its URL into the Exceptions List. But for me even after doing all that, it fails to work.

I'm using the latest Java version 7 update 71 for my Windows 7 office laptop. It still shows the Medium setting, what version is yours?

Not true with Citi.
Last year I received a reply SMS saying I was registered, but they subsequently claimed I was not on the targeted list and so did not qualify in spite of what the reply SMS said!!

A new Citi promotion for PM Credit card holders when making hotel bookings via Kaligo. Basically when all is added up it will give 10mls/$ (SGD). Sounds good as long as rates are decent and cancellation rules are similar to the hotels. Your card is charged immediately as I understand, but rates are refundable with certain conditions.

Full T&Cs are here: http://www.citibank.com.sg/global_do..._tnc_nov14.pdf

Thanks. Will take note of that!

Hi

Does anyone have experience on transferring ANZ Travel Card points to KF? How long does it take? Thanks!

I went into Kaligo to compare rates for the hotel I booked via Agoda's Citi PM promo which gave 8 miles/$ SGD. Comparison for the same room type and exact dates, Kaligo came up to USD 375 for 2 nights versus USD 300 in Agoda. Kind of hard to justify the premium even though Agoda's promo with Citi is down to 6 miles/$ SGD.

Thanks for the analysis, leap before you look.

I've added Kaligo to the wiki.

Look before you leap? :)

Anyways, of course that is required. I compare the hotels own rates (online) versus other booking sites versus Agoda and Kaligo. If 1000mls or so cost you 30$ or more than that is definitely not worth it. I would say up to 1.5c per mile is okay though ideally the rates are all almost on par and you just pick the one with most mileage / points earnings.

Degradation to UOB PRVI limo booking

Prior to 2013 = any one travel related transaction (local or overseas, no matter how small) earns one way limo booking to Changi Airport

2013-2014 = travel related transaction (local or overseas) must be $500 minimum and within 3 months from intended limo booking date (thus those who plan their holidays in advance no longer qualify)

From 3 Jan 2015 = pay $45 limo first, then spend $1,000 overseas only, then get back $45 rebate limited to twice a quarter:
https://uniservices1.uobgroup.com/se...oking_form.jsp

This card is going down the pits!

You're right, looks like the limo benefit is no longer attractive. I will still use this card however for overseas offline transactions.

Updated T&Cs

The card is still useful but I hardly use anymore.

Mostly visa signature now ....

On the recent Expedia, Agoda, and Kaligo mega miles promos, looks like it will be the death of hotel programs soon? Is anyone preferring free hotel stays as opposed to earning tonnes of miles?

The only free stays I am chasing right now is Leading Hotels group. Because all the hotels are cream of the crop spectacular. And cannot stop getting awed from most of them so far.

I don't chase sheratons or hiltons anymore. Expensive to redeem and hotels may be good but not spectacular. Prefer leading hotels or Airbnb.

I have been making use of Expedia.com.sg for air tickets and I have been careful with the terms and conditions of the included airlines.

I just made an Air India booking and noticed something is not in order. Usually, an SMS comes in from the bank telling that so an so card has been charged by TRAVEL RESERVATION SGP. In the case of SQ, 2 sms-es from the same and SQ itself. But for Air India, I got only one (from AI SINGAPORE)

Suspecting something is amiss, I did a bit of googling on Expedia merchant of record with respect to airlines and stumbled across this little known promo from UOB.

http://media.expedia.com/media/conte..._UOB_smart.pdf

The airline list is different !!!!

Just as I suspected, AI is not in.

And I suspect Air Astana in Citibank's list is supposed to be Asiana.

Now really suspect that Citibank's list of airlines cannot be trusted.

Will update again once the transaction is posted and is clear who is the merchant.

On a separate note, also beware of these airlines and hotel bookings on Expedia Asia sites. Looks like no miles awarded and only smart rebates if paid with UOB?

lcpteck Dec 6, 14 10:25 am

It could be different promos for different banks.

Just to be safe I have printed out a copy of the current T&Cs of the Citibank Expedia promotion and have received an email confirmation from Citibank regarding the Airline inclusion list which matches what is stated in the current T&Cs.

Can use them if there's a dispute later on.
