used citi rewards card at Lotte Duty Free in Nov 13 and got only 1x points. Citibank said Lotte Duty Free registered itself as a Duty Free Shop, hence no 10x points.
Need more kind people like you to share information!! But really strange, DFS at Changi Airport earns 10x points with Citi Rewards Card. It's really like gambling. Either you charge to Citi Rewards Card get 10x, 4 miles or 1x, 0.4 miles. Or charge to Citi PremierMiles and get S$1=2 miles, if you not willing to take the risk, unless you are 100% sure you will get 10x points like if its an overseas department store like Daimaru, SOGO etc.... What about airlines' inflight duty free purchases?? Anyone can share or try?? MANY THANKS!! |

I made a purchase using Citi Rewards card at DFS Store in HK Airport last weekend and was awarded 10X times. It was also printed on the credit card receipt that the category type is Department Store.

World of Sports DOES NOT award 10x. 1x only. But Royal Sporting House awards 10x. Their merchant code is different. Anyone tried Sportslink? http://sportslink.com.sg/home/ Please share. Thanks! |

The SQ Ascend is similar with their sign on offer, free luggage for hitting the spend limit in first year etc. The miles you get from all this make paying the annual fee for the first year worthwhile. You can always cancel in the second year. |
13,250 miles, to be exact, based on redemption blocks of 450 miles, redeemed at a rate of 1.8 points per mile. With a total outlay of $1570, that's 8.44 miles per dollar spent.
