I think most of the cards here takes into account general spending rather than specific spending, as per Citi Rewards (for fashion shopping), and UOB PPAmex (for F&B)

Any one has any experience if ANZ will waive $100 annual fee for supplementary cards from year 2? ( Year one is free anyway)

And only 1 in the entire Australia - and it's coming soon. But then, there are zero PP lounges in Australia, so it's an improvement.

Taobao purchases
 

Hi guys, I've been making numerous purchases on Taobao using my UOB Preferred Platinum. I notice I get 10x UNI$ only when the transaction description is reflected as "ALIPAY (WWW.TAOBAO.COM) HANGZHOU CN", and just normal UNI$ when it's reflected as "ZHI FU BAO ZHONGGUO WA SHANGHAI CN".

The thing is when purchasing on Taobao, I do not have the option of choosing if I want payment to be made via "Alipay" or "Zhifubao".

Does anyone have a similar experience as me?

He is checking this based on his & users experience on HWZ forum. Citi Rewards is a great card. It earns you 4 miles/S$1 whenever you shop for clothes, bags, shoes or department stores, same for online shopping including Amazon, but not only. Apparently it also earn 4 miles when buying perfumes / alcohol at DFS Changi or when paying Singtel bill online via mybill Singtel page (I just checked and can confirm this). The only issue is that you can only earn max 120k reward points (S$12k yearly), so 48k miles, but you can have both MC and Visa.

I am thinking if i should stay with Krisflyer, or switch to Asia Miles. Which one has a better conversion rates and availability?

I do like the "discounts" when you fly on different airlines of One World, especially when you want to visit a few countries on the go...

and Asia miles does give additional bonus when you convert miles during promotion but krisflyer almost never give promotions for conversion. but SQ gives 15% off online redemption but very poor conversion rates on other carriers..

Looking at business from Singapore to US or Europe. Any advice or experience?
