Goodbye to Ginger Ale...among other drinks
Two FA's tonight (one ASA, one DL) confirmed a memo saying all DL/DL Connection flight will no longer serve ginger ale, tomato juice, or apple juice. Didn't get a date these drinks will end -- but it's soon.
Meh.
Meh.

Wow; that's a stunner. Ginger Ale is my comfort beverage when I feel like *** and need to fly anyway.

Tomato juice is that weird one, I'll drink it maybe once a year, when I order it I then notice that half the cabin orders it!

Yeah...I think the date for domestic cutover is Nov 6th. I think they will still be available on International flights for a few months until the stock is gone. The reasons I read were cost savings of around 2M a year due to a reduction in weight...and, supposedly, there was alot of waste with half cans being tossed out. There are still 14 non-alcoholic beverages available. (BTW...ginger ale was my favorite)

Pretty surprising since a lot of people drink GingerAle on planes to settle their stomache.

Same here. I like the sweetness with no caffeine. I guess sprite will work, but I much prefer ginger ale. This seems silly and awfully hard to quantify the savings.

Agreed. I have nausea issues (in cars, not planes) and any type of carbonated, non caffeinated drink does the trick. I do however, prefer Ginger ale.

From what I posted in the other topic on this:
I might be an odd duck as the two non-alcoholic drinks I'm most likely to order on a flight is Ginger Ale or Tomato Juice. Darn it.

First they replace SpriteZero with that disgusting Fresca.
Now they're taking away ginger ale.
I think I'm going to have to start bringing my own beverages with me.
