Domestic inflight service changes

Coming soon, no more tomato juice, apple juice, gingerale on domestic flights.
Baileys replaced by Starbucks Creme Liqueur.
No FC meal ATL-NYC.
Changes occur throughout the month of November.

That's sure to please everyone. No apple juice for the kids and no jack and ginger for the adults.

I guess it's back to jack and coke.

Who needs the Platinum drink coupons now? Certainly not I! Hopefully the CRC keeps Baileys...

Starbucks Liqueur was on my flight monday night. FA was talking to a guy across the aisle and said it was the first time she had seen it stocked. I didnt hear his initial order, but I assume she brought that instead of baileys.

I am taking this personally, Delta's out to get me.
I like apple juice and I like ginger ale. Not much of a coke or sprite drinker here.

*sigh*

From a business point of view, not a consumer. I find it hard to believe that the mass purchased, wholesale cost of tomato juice and apple juice is so high that it's hurting the bottom line or is a logistical problem.

I'm pretty sure I just bought a case of V8 at Costco for about the same price as a case of Diet Pepsi...

If true, That's a shame.

I've always enjoyed getting a Gingerale while flying. Or, if I want something more, Baileys. Makes me kinda sad.

I guess one more small kick in the groin behind a hundred others over the last couple of years...

Im most interested to learn why the reduction in meal service ATL-NYC? Werent these intended to compete with other airlines? First ATL-BOS and CVG-NYC lose meals and now this?

I think most FC pax would be understanding, but when they travel on NW, AA, and CO and receive meals on a similar stage length they are surprised why DL is so stingy. This (and PTVs) were the only difference between DL and Air Tran on this route.

If the Shuttle gets snacks, I would think this route would merit something.

Flew ATL-JFK on a 763ER on Sunday night and no meal in BE, only "refreshments" which was the usual drinks and snacks just more of them. In fact, I can't remember the last time I had a meal on NYC-ATL from either JFK, LGA, or ROC in FC/BE.

My thoughts exactly. I have never had a meal on this route and my upcoming one is like it always is...rereshments only.

Possibly the elimination of the ATL-LGA flights on AA.
