Help booking ICE Munich-Florence

Now, after help getting us TO Munich, thought I'd try again!

We want to get 4 tickets on the overnight train to Florence, NZ 289, on the night of Aug 22. The italian website trentitalia.com, seems to only have options for delivery in Italy. Bahn.de remains confusing. Suggestions on how to book 4 tickets ideally for a 4-person couchette, one senior, 3 others, for the 11;40 Munich HBF to Florence SMN? Non-refundable OK with us...
thanks in advance!

Bahn.de seems to only be in German after a bit, and google translate not working well. Advice on alternate sites, etc?

nice try but it doesn't work

For some reason, that site won't show the NZ289 23:40 direct train to Florence. I keep trying but shows no late train. NO idea why????

Did you register on their website? See the page on online tickets below

You can not usually book Night trains online. AFAIK.

And this one by DB for information and booking:

You can. But you need to go to a separate web site - www.nachtzugreise.de

Florence is Firenze. And there are two stations. If you want to travel at 2340 you want to select Firenze Santa Maria.

PS - just discovered one slight snag. There does not appear to be an English version....

I did a CityNightLine booking online about 2 1/2 years ago. NZ might be different.

Angry

I feel like I'm getting WARMER.... closer to page where I can enter booking info, and even able to find translation for the pricing descriptions... but then when i click on saver fare (my guess) on lower left, get a scry Error 404 | Dokument nicht gefunden
Die von Ihnen angeforderte Seite wurde nicht gefunden.
http://www.bahn.de/kontakt

I imagine I can guess what the old 'nicht gefunden" means...

THIS IS SOOO frustrating!

I tried a dummy booking on Nachtzugreise. It seems that this site offers all specials after you entered to dates.

OK, this is what you do...:

Go to www.nachtzugreise.de

Click on "Buchung" in the grey box on the left (it's a grey box on the left when viewed in Firefox, it may look different in IE)

Click on "Fahrkarten buchen" (still in the grey box on the left)

Click on "Buchen Sie jetzt Ihre Nachtzugreise" (in the centre, near the bottom)

You have reached the booking screen!

And, what's more, it's got several flags there including one for English (British of course, not American!)

Enter your journey details, click "Next" or "Weiter" (depending on whether or not you have switched languages). You will now be given a list of options.

I've found the same dead link you found, BTW - just don't click on it!!!

HOORAY! With Aviatrix's help, got all the way through! Then (call me obsessional) found same T4 compartment on same train for 176 vs. 420 Euro's on trenitalia, BUT tix can ONLY be mailed to address in Italy, so trying to find someone who knows someone there who will receive the tix and forward them. Enough difference to make it worth my calling buddies with Italian relatives. Will keep you all posted on the outcome!
