Voting for your favourite crew.....

A question for our BA insiders.....

On BA.com, there is an option to nominate a member of staff (crew or ground) for exemplar service. I have done this on numerous occasions and wondered if the crew members in question ever got anything from it e.g. feedback, bonus, good performance rating, etc.

I hope so.

Thanks in advance.

Not being crew, I'm afraid I can't answer your question but think they do get told of complementary remarks made about them.

However, I take it you've sent your nominations for PUCCI in the hope of attaining that Mucci you seek.

I'm pretty sure that last CSD I nominated was PUCCI. The CSD was certainly very glamorous, sophisticated and oozed class......quite playful too!

That link was a special promotion type thing. You can of course still offer any feedback via the usual BA CR chanels. This does get fed back to the staff members and placed onto their files, but you need to be specific about the name and rank, location and times to ensure that it does get there. For the more vague feedback there is a wall in the Compass Centre, but as with yourselves it is nicer to be given the feedback from a manager and with your name in the letter. I can't tell you how many letters we get with lines like "the blonde girl on checkin was very nice", which is lovely, but for individual feedback, useless!!

Lest we forget;

For the young ones it went to the Beach Boys tune of California girls.(mind you if your that young you won't know who the Beach Boys were.)

I've flown with U.S. Airlines
And the girls are really nice!
And those beautiful Far Eastern girls
Do splendid things with rice!
German girls are so correct
And the planes are never late!
But there's only one girl we want to see
As we reach the departure gate .......
I wish they all could be Caledonian,
I wish they all could be Caledonian,
I wish they all could be Caledonian girls!

After receiving some remarkable service at SFO, I picked up a comment card/nominate a staff member sort of thing. I asked what effect sending the card in has on the employee. The agent told me at the very least, a comment will be posted to the employee file. I suppose a list of positive comments should make promotion slightly easier...

That really is gloriously un-PC. I have the vaguest memories of the advert on TV when I was a young man.

Let those memories be vague no more Swanhunter and all your sentimental souls out there!

Though I think this has been posted before, I seem to recall someone said it was PUCCI putting out the washing at the end. (Please no cattle prod G-BOAC)

Edit - sorry The Specialist, you're right!! As they say though, great minds think alike!!

Allow me to refresh your memory - I forgot it was most of the Python's in this ad

Edit: Sorry sunrisegirl looks like we had the same idea!

Incidentally it reminds me when we used to stay withe the B-cal crew in NY and LH crew had the same hotel - they'd stick the Beach Boys on the juke box in the Blarney Rock Pub opposite the crew hotel when we walked in and we'd play "99 red baloons" back to them

Edit2: I've just found another verse here
