QPPS1 qualifying period
I could swear I posted this yesterday but can't find the original posting. So here goes again....
For the first time qualifying for PPS, is the qualifying period ANY consecutive 12 months? In the old version of the website, it said I had until August 31, 2005 to get 25 points. However, I started my regular short-haul SQ J/F travel in May, 2005. I'm hoping to get 25 points by Jan/Feb 2006. I can't wait to see if SQ will reset my points tomorrow so I'm posting here.
So will they allow my points to count from May 2005-April 2006? I don't know why it said on the old website I have until August 31, 2005 to qualify. On the updated website, I can't find anything.

According to the site:
It did not specify which month to which month nor did it specify by which month. So any 12 consecutive month including May 2005 to April 2006 should be fine.
PPS Club membership will be yours when you achieve 50,000 PPS Club credited flight miles (or 25 PPS Club flight sectors) within a period of 12 consecutive months.

Slightly off but anyway:
==> I have collected 26.5 PPS Club flight sectors (actually as of yesterday) but the site states that I am "only" Elite Gold. Do I actually need the 50,000 Miles AND the 25 Sectores?
Anyone knows?
Thanks!

As far as becoming QPPS1, you only need 25 sectors OR 50,000 club miles. You don't need both. Better call them up and check your status again.

But between aug 04 and may 05 i had nothing else. so i hope that it is a rolling 12 month calculation.

Except I believe it's really in the month that you take your first F/J flight. I might be wrong on this. I recall taking my qualifying flight in early January, and my qualifying period lasted till end January.

Can anyone verify this? I have about 6 PPS sectors I took on 4 march '06 that would put me over the top for PPS when I take a couple of flights on the 8th of march. If they expire one year later exactly I'll have to wait another month or so for PPS.

This explanation was based on personal experience, as well as the explanation that was given by SQ. Of course, in some occasions there will be exceptions!

AFAIK, it is correct not based on the date of enrollment. But solely based on the first date of the first C/F flight. Like in Axey's case, 4 Mar 2006 was the first C/F flight counted. Thus the 12 months period would be 3 or 4 Mar 2007. Thus if Axey doesn't get 25 sectors by 4 Mar 2007, Axey will not qualified for PPS. And, the computer will look for the next C/F flight after 4Mar 2006. Let's say the next flight was 1 Apr 2006. So, Axey would have till 31 Mar (1 Apr) to accumulate 25 sectors at least to qualify for PPS.
