reading (including reading between the lines ...) todays (july-24-2005, page 23) interview of swiss CEO Christoph Franz in the NZZ am Sonntag, follows that the swiss program will either be fully integrated/merged/'lost' in miles & more probably sooner than later, or, if staying alive, adopt most miles & more rules anyhow.

Franz answers: Zunächst werden die Programme einfach verhängt. Ob wir uns zwei unabhängige Informatikplattformen leisten oder künftig die der LH nutzen, ist eine nächste Frage. Darüber ist noch nicht entschieden. Ich kann mir aber nicht vorstellen, dass die Programme völlig unterschiedlich bleiben, weil dies auch Arbitrage-Möglichkeiten eröffnet.

Based on several aviation merger theories i.e by Doganis the merging of two FF programms should be done as a second step, for example as KLM and AF did it after a year, maybe two after the takeover/merger.
I do not expect that TC will be integrated into M&M much earlier....

M&M Welcome LX bonus not too expensive to TLV from Germany
Travelocity.de offers 'last minute' fares on LX to various destinations ten days before departure. The only city I could find open flights to was TLV for EUR 338.00 + Taxes (final price ~ 420 EUR) from many German Airports (TXL, MUC, FRA...) The flights are booked in Q.
According to the M&M FQT help desk Q fares qualify for the M&M LX welcome bonus. FRA-ZRH for the European, ZRH-TLV for the intercontinental segment. This would yield:
e.g.
FRA-ZRH Q 750 + 1000 Bonus = 1750 miles
ZRH-TLV Q (0.5* 1750)=825 + 2500 Bonus = 3375 miles
TLV-ZRH Q (0.5* 1750)=825 miles
ZRH-FRA Q 750 miles
Total: 6750 miles (3250 of these qualify for status bonus e.g. 25% + 812 -> 7652 miles)
Outbound flights from e.g. TXL are available for September 3, 5-8 returns on 15, 17, 21, 24, and 25.
It is not a cheap fare but pretty good for flights to Israel. Cheaper in September are Czech Airlines, KLM, Alitalia and Malev but no *carriers.
So, if you need to fly to TLV and want to get the extra welcome miles, this is a good opportunity.

I looked for a cheap BOM fare recently and finally settled for LX in Q. LH (via lastminute Ltur) and OS were equally priced, but I went for LX to get the welcome bonus. The LX website has lower fares than all my usual sources (travelclub.de, travelocity, aeroplan etc), but all in Q.
Looking forward to flying LX again. Have very fond memories of them flying the MD11 5-7 years ago. Sadly the new Y A340 don't fly the routes to india.
