  • Who we all are — Since 1998, this thread, which was at one time at least nine separate threads (the original thread was launched by FlyerTalk member baobab) that have since been combined into this thread, has been an introduction to literally hundreds of FlyerTalk members. To find out more about your fellow FlyerTalk members — as well as to impart some information about yourself — please click on the link to access this thread.
  • What did your FT Handle/Name come from? (Merged Threads) — Now that you know who we all are, can you “handle” finding out the meaning behind our FlyerTalk names? How does one pronounce your handle? is an OMNI forum variation of this thread. If there are any additional versions of these threads scattered about FlyerTalk, please alert me so that I can add them here...
  • Where We All Live — If you have already clicked on the above two links, you know who we all are and the meaning behind our FlyerTalk names. This thread reveals where we all live, as well as which airports are our “base”, or “home”, airports.
  • Where we all are: on a google map — This is a more graphical version of where FlyerTalk members are based. Will you be the first FlyerTalk member in your local area to contribute to this project? As a bonus, see more photographs of your favourite FlyerTalk members here as well!

THE FLYERTALK ECONOMY AND COMMERCE
  • Hire a Flyertalker — Unfortunately, the original version of this extremely useful thread (which was launched by Comicwoman) is gone forever — a victim of the transition of FlyerTalk from the old Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB) software to the current vBulletin bulletin board software. However, a new version of this thread was gratefully started by Vaze. Hopefully, every FlyerTalk member will eventually find the job of his or her dreams...
  • The FlyerTalk Business Exchange Forum — If you are a FlyerTalk member who owns a business, you owe it to yourself to visit this thread and post a milepost containing information about your business. If you are a FlyerTalk member looking to patronize the business of another FlyerTalk member, this thread is the ideal place to start your search. After all, who would be better to patronize the businesses of FlyerTalk members than other FlyerTalk members, especially with the growth rate that FlyerTalk is experiencing?
  • Earning Compensation to Attend FlyerTalk Gatherings: An Idea — This thread is meant to assist FlyerTalk members to be able to fund a trip to a FlyerTalk gathering in which they may not be able to otherwise afford. Are there any open temporary jobs at your location that you may list where a FlyerTalk gathering is scheduled?
  • The Continuous “Please Assist a FlyerTalk Member” Get-Together Thread — Do you require assistance getting your house painted or that deck built? How about asking your fellow FlyerTalk members to help? They get miles and points traveling to assist you; you get the job done. Is that a deal?

For those FlyerTalk members who do not already know this: The third item from the left in the dark blue tool bar at the top is Calendars, which can be used to find out the dates of the birthdays of FlyerTalk members as well as the dates of when all of the get-togethers, meets and “do”s are scheduled.
