Very quiet flight. Possible aircraft change?
Booked on the 239 next Wednesday (24th) and looking at Expert Flyer the 777W looks very quiet in all cabins currently, except for F. Conscious many non status cant select seats yet and I am unable to view how many seats are available for sale on Expert Flyer but the flight looks very very quiet. If this is the case with less than a week to go is it possible the 777W could be downgraded to a smaller 777 variant? The 238 the next day also looks fairly quiet.
There are some 777-2s operating the 239 this week for instance. Wondering if any pros on here can shed any light.

swaps are always possible but there could be a number of factors to keep this aircraft such as cargo, scheduling, loads of return flight etc.
but looking at expert flyer, it does seem pretty light that day! if anything it should be a pleasant trip!

I think that flight will go out either full or nearly so. T isn't being sold, and G is 0. Have another look 3 days before departure. Equipment swaps are largely independent of loads, it's a huge jigsaw and everything has to slot together. If an aircraft goes out with a technical issue on Monday then on that route almost anything is possible.

I only have access to public data. BA will sell at least 9 more seats, even in the second cheapest CW bucket, in the UK market.. But that doesn't mean there are 9 seats available, since seats availability and seat sales are two different things with sometimes only a tenuous relationship with each other. Plus the back of the aircraft is filling up quite well, and so at some point some people may get upgraded. There are probably 20 plus unsold CW seats, but they may have already sold (say) a dozen more WTP tickets than there are WTP seats. It looks to me this aircraft will go out full in WT, probably full in WTP, full in First and some spare seats in CW, at a guess.
