Anybody get a snack box from Delta in the mail?

I keep seeing these tweets in my feed (based on Delta having liked them):

Surprised not to see any discussion here (unless I missed it in which case sorry mods!).

Anyone here get one?

Nope, haven't seen a snack box. Maybe since they know I've been flying so had them on board already. haha

I wouldn't mind getting a gift box again though... several years ago when I stared traveling more heavily to Spain, I received a box with some spanish treats. Was a nice surprise.

Airlines are bleeding cash and they waste money sending out junk food that probably costs $1?

Because it's not already enough of a nightmare to be served this crap in F on the plane they now have to deliver it to our homes as well?

I'd rather have a $10 gift card which they could pay for with the money they would have otherwise used to ship these boxes.

I am guessing they could care less about the food and are sad that as a loyal member who has probably flown a few flights and been denied even the most basic of liquids or snacks, they feel left out and want to be included and welcomed again to the family.

They are too cheap to bring real food back to First Class and and to provide soda and alcohol for over a year and even some diamond have reported wait times of a couple hours but they have the time and the manpower for this?

Look at the bright side rather than the sad side

In the absence of any other clarification, maybe Delta is going back to the good ole days of catering real food and these boxes are now worthless for them to stockpile, hence the word "gift"

Do any of the people you see posting the pictures refer to themselves as "influencers"?

I saw one well known travel blogger post a similar picture, so it could be that they are sending them out to people with a large social media following.

Edit: just checked their Twitter pages and neither of those people have large followings.
