COVID-19 TRAVEL ALERTS
Passengers aged 2 years and older must hold negative viral (RT-PCR, RT-LAMP or antigen) test result obtained within 3 days prior to departure from the calendar date when the specimen was collected.

Alternatively, passengers who have recovered from Covid-19 in the past 3 months (90 days) can present their positive test results and a letter from a healthcare provider confirming the passenger has been cleared for travel. The test result (paper or electronic copy) must include the passenger’s name, date of birth, type of test and sampling time. This also applies to passengers that have received a Covid-19 vaccination.

Passengers must ensure they have a copy that is accessible offline.

Passengers travelling to the United States via connecting flights must have a negative test result obtained 3 days before their first flight, provided the connecting flight was booked as a single passenger record with a final destination in the US and each connection is no longer than 24 hours long. If the connecting flight to the US was booked separately or a connection is longer than 24 hours, passengers will be required to get tested within the 3 days prior to the flight arriving in the US.

This testing requirement does not apply to crew members on official duty, provided they follow protocols for the prevention of Covid-19 as set in relevant Safety Alerts for Operators (SAFOs) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Passengers are not permitted to enter or transit the United States if they have entered or transited any Schengen Area member state, the United Kingdom, Ireland, China, Iran, Brazil or South Africa in the past 14 days due to the outbreak of Covid-19, unless they meet one of the following conditions:

They are a permanent resident of the United States;
They are the spouse of a U.S. citizen or permanent resident;
They are seeking entry into or transiting the U.S. with any of the following visa types - A-1, A-2, C-2, C-3 (as a foreign government official or immediate family member of an official), E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee’s immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6;
They are seeking entry into the U.S. with a J-1, H-1B, H-2B, or L-1 visa, provided they are sponsored by (as an exchange visitor), petitioned by, or whose petitioner is a member of, one of the following organisations: National Association of Manufacturers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Retail Federation, TechNet, or Intrax, Inc. ;
They are arriving from the Schengen Area, the United Kingdom or Ireland with a F-1, F-2, M-1 or M-2 visa;
They are the legal guardian of an unmarried U.S. citizen or permanent resident under the age of 21;
They are the sibling, child, foster child or ward of a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, provided both are unmarried and under the age of 21;
They are a prospective adoptee seeking to enter the United States pursuant to the IR-4 or IH-4 visa classifications;
They can prove they are travelling at the invitation of the U.S. Government for a purpose related to containment or mitigation of the virus;
They are travelling as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15)(C) or (D) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(15)(C) or (D), as a crew member, or any alien otherwise traveling to the United States as air or sea crew. This exemption does not apply to crew members in transit through the United States to join a vessel or aircraft in another country;
They have been determined as safe to enter by the CDC Director, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or any of their respective designees;
They are a member of the United States Armed Forces or the spouse or child of a member of the United States Armed Forces;
They are personnel involved in resuming sports events of Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Professional Golfers’ Association Tour (PGA Tour), the National Hockey League (NHL), the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), this includes athletes, support staff, team and league leadership, and their spouses and dependents;
They have applied for a National Interest Exception and have been approved. Please note that a National Interest Exception is only valid for 30 days and can only be used for single entry;
They are holders of a valid Diversity Visa (DV) who received their visa in Fiscal Year 2020 (through 30 September 2020). Passengers holding a Diversity Visa that was issued in September 2020 and is now expired will also be permitted to enter the United States.
Passengers are required to complete a Travel Declaration Form on arrival in New York State, due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

Passengers travelling to the state of New York holding a negative Covid-19 test result obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival can either quarantine for 10 days on arrival or on the 4th day after arrival can take a Covid-19 test. If a negative result is received the passenger can end the quarantine period.
Passengers may be fined $50 USD if not wearing a mask or face covering in New York and New Jersey state airports.
Passengers aged 2 or above must wear a mask at all times throughout the flight, including during boarding and disembarking, due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

Refusing to wear a mask is a violation of federal law and may result in denial of boarding, removal from the aircraft and/or penalties under federal law.

This does not apply to passengers with disabilities who cannot wear masks.
