MSP-DSM ($244), MSP-MCI ($262) [AA Domestic First]

This is a pretty cute deal from MSP. Not quite sure how to feel about it other than the cost per EQM is so low.

MSP-DSM (1 Day Turn)
MSP-DFW-DSM-CLT-MSP for $244 in I class. This is 3,221 at 200% EQM for I class = 3.8c per EQM.

Limited availability though.

MSP-MCI (0 Day Turns)
MSP-CLT-MCI-CLT-MSP for $262 in I class. This is 3,490 at 200% EQM for I class = 3.75c per EQM.

Pretty good availability.

I spent a winter in DSM and in MSP a lifetime ago as a Consultant... Not fun in February... These would give a BA flyer 160 TPs which could be an attractive proposition from non-coastal cities...

With jetways, you're not outside. It's not like you have to hike across the tarmac from as remote stand.

Reading the BA site, it says I need 2 flights with them. Does that mean BA marketed flights? Or is it possible to earn status with them by flying AA?

.
ETA: doesn't seem like it per https://onemileatatime.com/going-for-british-airways-status/. looks like I'd need some BA flights too.
