Partner O class award price increase

Looks like O class partner awards to Asia have been quietly increased from 85k to 102.5k. Reviewing multiple dates to ICN and TPE next year all the KE and CI flights that previously priced at 85k are now pricing at 102.5k (even in cases where no DL metal is involved).

What fare codes are you seeing? We have an expert here in award fares and award fare codes who can probably help to clarify the relevant fare rules.

I am seeing the same on partner O awards to Europe. Was pricing at 75k each way last week. At 95k today.

I guess DL was seeing a few pax getting good deals with partner award tickets, so had to jack those redemption rates up...

They probably also saw UA jack up its partner award rates and decided to follow suit.

Where are you seeing AA increasing partner award rates? It’s not my experience there.

Oops. You're right. I was thinking of AA removing the elite seating benefits on partner airlines. I edited my original post.

Those elite benefits for seating for partner elites have been reinstated as well

Good grief, I'm also seeing the jump from 75k to 95k. Thankfully I recently burned most of my family's stash (1,650,000 SkyMiles redeemed) on J flights to Europe (mostly KLM and some AF). One trip was earlier this month and the others are set for December, March, and (booked last week) July. I guess we have to fly them all now.

Only for some partners, basically BA, AY, JL, ie the close partners.

Just saw the same things TPAC and TATL - came here to see if anyone had any clues as to what was happening. Hoping it’s just a temporary repricing blip...

It's getting to the point that I'd be fine with trading my mileage balance for a check at a 1CPM basis.

FYI, not all partners book into O (VS Upperclass awards book into G). While partner awards book into a single booking class, most of them have multiple levels (generally 3) depending on advance purchase. There are currently no partner levels that require roundtrip bookings (unlike various DL metal awards).

VS G awards to UK with 60-day advance were formerly 86K one-way, while other partner awards (KL/AF/AZ and VS beyond UK) to Europe with 60-day advance were formerly 75K. These low-level, 60-day advance partner awards do indeed appear to have been harmonized to all be 95K one-way with fare basis code CSMH950.

Other partner business award levels to Europe are
21-day advance CSMG1050 - 105K
no advance CSM1350 - 135K

Note that DL increased their low-level, 90-day advance purchase D1 awards to Europe to 105K each-way (from 80K) at least a couple of months ago. They also added a roundtrip booking requirement
