COVID19 - Concessions open at UA Hub Airports?

Given that the on board services are so poor these days, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread about where to buy food and drinks before boarding a UA flight. I'd like to keep this limited to restaurants either in UA hubs or close to UA gates at other airports. Such things that could be posted are the concession name, opening and closing hours, and any other comments that may be of interest, such as "Full Menu to Go."

While I don't have any information to share myself, we (family of 4) need to travel on a 7:00am departure from EWR in Mid-October and I'm concerned about what would be open in the airport that early in the morning during these times. I'm sure others would have similar concerns.

There is absolutely no way to predict what (if anything) will be open three months from now. You should plan on bringing your own food with you to cover all bases.

The situation changes daily and, as we've seen in a number of states, there have been rollbacks, Thus, what is closed today may be open tomorrow and may then close again the day after. Not because people here are not helpful -- quite the contrary -- it is simply that things change rapidly.

I would check the various websites the day before travel and then decide whether what you want is available and then pack accordingly, If you have any concerns, I would simply pack my own food and not worry.

Would be very curious to know if the Pappadeaux at IAH is open. One of the best airside dining experiences in world, IMHO. Hyperbole? Judge not unless you have tried it.

What makes it better then the other 40+ locations on the Pappas group?

When I was in IAH on 7/5 it was almost exclusively fast food options. Almost all of the OTG options were closed. Some locations have shorter hours too, I know Landry's is one.

Because you have to go through TSA screening before dining.

It's airside. I've eaten at that one in Terminal E a couple times. It's certainly worth the effort.

After entering, transiting or exiting EWR - IAH - IAD - ORD - DEN - SFO - LAX in the last six weeks. EWR has the least amenities open and the UC is open for or information only and unless I've totally lost my memory all the other hubs had at least one UC that was functional..

I totally realize that. I didn't create this thread to find out information for myself; I was thinking of the others who are traveling in the next week or so, with the hopes that we could keep it up to date as things change. I was merely stating that our trip in October is what gave me the idea to start the thread.

I stand corrected my info was from the 10th.
As reported on 'My first flight after being COVID. . .the UC was still closed in the AM.

To my (limited) experience, it's the only one I've found airside. I was specific to that qualifier in my praise.
