FLL ATC Callsigns Air Canada or Rouge?

Listening to FLL ATC for AC flights called them Air Canada not Rouge. Did something change.

Flight # and date?

Are you talking about AC 902, YYZ-FLL on April 6? They were flying mainline and not rouge. Also, the rouge FAs were all laid off recently as routes were suspended.

there are no rouge flights operating for at least April, if not longer.

903 and 901 outbound. Flight aware and Flight radar 24 always show them as AC flights but ATC calls them Rouge.
Flight # and date?

Flights in the 900s are mainline, so "Air Canada" is the correct callsign. Pretty much all rouge flights are 1500-1999, and those would have the callsign "Rouge".

If ATC is calling a 9xx flight "Rouge", they're wrong, probably just force of habit

But the AC pilots should be referring to themselves as "Air Canada 901" not "Rouge 901".
codfather likes this.

Both YUL and YYZ flights to FLL are mainline this month.
