AA: CHC-SYD-DFW-LHR-FCO etc One-Way in Business US$1,900

This is an American Airlines business (I) one-way fare from AKL or CHC to destinations in Europe. It comes out to a little less than half the round-trip fare for the same city pair.

Various creative routings are possible, including with connections in Australia, North and Central America, and Europe. The fare allows for unlimited stopovers at NZ$150 each (~US$94), so a lot of domestic US flying is possible.

Examples
CHC-BNE-ORD-BCN -- $1,891
CHC-SYD-DFW-LHR-FCO -- $1,912
AKL-LAX-MIA-BOG-MIA-JFK-FCO -- $2,191

Example with 1 Stopover
CHC-SYD-DFW / DFW-LHR-FCO -- $2,005

Example with 2 Stopovers
AKL-LAX-DFW-MIA / MIA-ORD / ORD-CDG -- $2,091

This looks to be a mistake fare given that PE is $7767 more than J per google, doesn’t do much for EQDs but If it’s bookable would be a nice EQM/RDM fare for sure.

Agree. Pricing is more like an economy fare. Many of the flights are on QF, but AA codeshares. AA flys from AKL and later in the year from CHC

I'm not convinced - other airlines are a similar price.

If you need *A, then you can go CHC-WLG-MEL-SIN-MXP-BCN for $1951 ...

SQ is selling segments which are likely to be distressed inventory, a la QR before 2017. A premium transcon business normally retails at something like $1.4k one way...even without talking about how much the TPAC I or TATL I segment is worth. I believe the TPAC Oceania I segment must be worth quite a bit.

OP = Original Post.
The OP details the stop over rules and even gives examples.

Agreed, very unlikely to be an error fare. I recently posted about 2.1k one way NZ-JFK on QF with some dates having a mix of AS and AA.

Seems like there is a price war on premium fares originating from NZ as QF’s JV with AA tries to tackle the patriotic default many have to Air New Zealand.

regardless all good fares! Wish it worked the other way!!

I think the fares are legit. But it is one hack of a long positioning for me!
