Pescatarian Special meal in CW?
Hi all,
I’m travelling in CW JFK-LHR on one of the evening night flights next week and wanted some thoughts on if it’s worth pre booking a pescatarian special meal for my other half.
On the outbound, the menu showed swordfish so we both ordered that (was very good!) but then fell foul of afternoon tea options - although the crew did a fab job switching out the beef sandwich for a falafel wrap from somewhere.
How good is the pescatarian SM catering ex JFK? Will she get a better deal than just hedging for the ‘pasta vege’ option from the menu? If whatever they rustle up as SM is a bit crap can we she revert to pasta from menu if spare available?
many thanks!

No Love - mine too. I always used to order the Fish option - (I like the expression Pescatarian) both in CE and on CW. It was always usually a feature of the menu rather than something special and I was always happy with that. Him Indoors loves Fish Pie (it's not really a Pie as it is topped with Mashed Potato (like Shepherd's Pie) - and the one served in Club (even by the likes of Can I help you ) was very tasty..Sadly that has gone some time ago.

In Prem and above there is usually a fish option. In economy you may have to settle for a vegetarian dish if the other isn't pesc. Haven't ever seen it on the special menu.
As you're in CW, I'd make a point when boarding just to be sure that they save you one.
