Ba226 atl-lhr 5 mar 2020

Just had a seat change for operational reasons on the BA226 from ATL on 5 March. Opened the seat map to change my seat back to something sensible, as I’d been moved next to someone else, but couldn’t otherwise see any difference (I am in WT+)

I am expecting this flight to be on the new 787-10, but the seat change makes me think maybe this is no longer the case.

I am not too bothered except I am hoping it may be possible to upgrade to CW at some point but only really want to do it if it gets me the CS product.

Anyone able to see what’s happened?

(Edit: title was correctly formatted with capitals but FT removed them)

Thanks, what a shame as I was looking forward to a factory-fresh cabin.

Same change on the 2nd Mar. Would have been nice - wonder which route it'll end up on now?

I have bookings around this time and they've all move to a 787-9, but Mrs P has one mid-month and it is still showing as 787-10, so might be a late arrival for the new aircraft or BA's systems haven't made changes later I the month yet. I will keep an eye on the bookings and report back.

Does seem like a slightly delayed arrival of the new aircraft is likely. These things must shift about a bit unavoidably.
