BA alerts in app at LHR
Many moons against I used to get alerts on my iPhone about gate being open, boarding started etc. I’ve got so used to them that.....I now realise I’ve not had them for several weeks. Is it just me?

Yes, I’ve had a similar issue over the last week. I’ve passed through LHR 5 times this week and not one notification (iPhone).

Hmmm now I think of it, I haven't had proactive notifications at LHR for gates recently either - but I have received them for when boarding opens.

I had a look on my Android in the Notifications par of the Settings page, it only offers "Check-in open", "Terminal moves", and "Marketing notifications"., so Gate Open and Boarding Status are not options. Looks like a recent enhancement.

There was one of those iPhone regular updates a few months ago, and after that was done my BA notifications completely stopped apart from online checkin

I think you are right, it's an iPhone update. I just checked my app and it does have the slider for gate alerts enabled, but I had no alerts this morning for my flight to IAD.

I suspect this is an iOS issue as I have the same problem with other apps as well as an issue with when I set my phone to silent; it no longer vibrates when I have a call or message.
