CW to NewZealand in Jan/Feb - best starting point?

CW to NewZealand in Jan/Feb - best starting point?
Hi looking to get to NZ for about 2-3 weeks in Jan or early feb. Can find about £2500ish from ARN. Any suggestions for other starting points likely to improve on this?

I even looked at PHX-AKL, thinking i could do OTP-PHX and combine, but those flights were over 4K.

As you have asked in the BA forum, are you only looking at Oneworld airlines?
What route/airlines is your £2500ish fare?
QF, QR MH & CX fly into AKL from the west/Asia. AA & QF from USA to AKL
QF & CX fly into CHC (CX is seasonable)

To Australia and a separate ticket to NZ (many airports possible) is another option.
