Oneworld: SEA-FCO in Business (stop), FCO-KIX in Econ $840 o/w

This itinerary is a combination of an Iberia business (I) fare and a British Airways or Finnair economy (Q) fare. (Business class all the way through begins at about $1,700.) Seattle to Rome to Osaka is just an example. You can put in different US, European, and Japanese cities and get similar results. The fare is bookable at Cheapoair through ITA Powertools.

Seasonal restrictions Seattle to Rome:
Code:
PERMITTED 21JUL 19 THROUGH 20AUG 19 OR 23NOV 19 THROUGH
30NOV 19 OR 09DEC 19 THROUGH 16DEC 19 OR 22DEC 19
THROUGH 03JAN 20 FOR EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
Seasonal restrictions Rome to Osaka:
Code:
PERMITTED 14MAY 19 THROUGH 13JUN 19 OR 17OCT 19 THROUGH
19DEC 19 OR 31DEC 19 THROUGH 12MAR 20 FOR EACH DEPARTURE
OF LAST INTERNATIONAL SECTOR.
Example:
SEA-DFW-FCO (biz) / FCO-HEL-KIX (econ) -- $840

Looks like SFO & LAX are only a few hundred more.

Has anybody found a way to book it though? I’m coming up short there.

How do you even come up with this multi-class in ITA? I could find business the whole way, at $3600ish, found Y the whole way at like 1200. Can anyone shed some light on this? Might work nicely for me being based in YVR.

use F bc=i in the advanced routing codes for the SEA-FCO, and “Cheapest Available” for the Cabin setting

Or alternately, use +Cabin 2 for business class.

Actually, you don't need to add on the FCO-Asia sectors to get this fare to work. The fares are valid on AA and IB and from various west coast cities to Europe (not just FCO). I pulled up FCO, ATH, LCA, TLL. Lots to choose from! Great way to get some PQMs under your belt for AA. Not so much for PQD though..

Great find!

Any way to book something like this in one world from the East Coast (PHL or EWR) in Premium Economy? I have gotten close fiddling around with google flights via DUB, but price went up unless I purchased separate tickets.

Woudln't EQD be beneficial if these were booked as IB-coded AA flights? or is it based on operating (not marketed) carrier?

Now I got it to work, I tried it with AUG 18 originally for the Asia sector, this is a tougher to use ticket now that I've noticed that, but it still might work nicely for me.

The tough thing is not knowing the cities potentially involved and the dates. There's so much searching to do lol, but I'd love to try flying one of these OW biz products and the Europe-Asia flight I feel like I could put to some use at some point.
