Lounge access question

Flying to Bali on SQ soon and wanted to get some advice on what (if any) lounge access our group might be entitled to.

The party consists of:

2 Adults flying in J (one of whom is TG gold card holder)
2 Adults + 1 five y/o flying in Y on the same flight.

Can the 2 J passengers guest in the 2 Y adults and 1 child to the silverkris lounge?

The short answer is no - you have 1 too many guest.

So regardless of policies, 1 have to give up.

There's no flexibility for a 5 y/o ?

Understand the rules, just wondered how rigidly SQ enforces for young kids

You are departing from SQ's home base. The SKL will have significant traffic. So flexibility should be out of question.

Also - no one says the 5 y/o can't go in. Simply one of the adults in Y has to give up.

I only see 2 adults in J with access, plus one guest for one gold.
So out of the 3 people in Y, only 1 can be guested? So it should be 2 guests too many?

Kids enter for free?

Years ago, I personally saw a family, father, mother, and an infant, being refused entry into SKL in NRT. I offered to bring the infant in as I was alone, but the family declined and they did not enter the lounge.

But you should try and see what happens, although I do think you are 2 short. Only *G passengers can bring 1 guest in. If you are travelling in C with no status, you are not allowed to bring any guest, correct me if I am wrong.

I am assuming the best case scenario for the OP.

Even the lounge dragon is mistaken and allows guesting for J only pax, still the fifth person will still put OP's party 1 too many.

I would say almost no chance. Good luck though!

It's 2 in J plus one guest in Y due to the *G for one of the 2 J pax as others mentioned correctly. That's it and I wouldn't expect any more than that.

One would hope even more so. I'd advocate to hide the lounge entrance if anyone was on the horizon with 0-12 year olds since parents seem to no longer actually supervise them. 30 years ago maybe, now, no.

On this general subject, are the SQ lounge access rules actually written down anywhere? I have never been able to locate them if they do indeed exist (apart from the provisions for *G, PPS etc).

Alright, thanks for the feedback, looks like it's a no go.

As for behavior of kids in lounges I tend to agree having witnessed terribly behaved and very disruptive kids several times in the BKK lounge the past month. However it is all down to the parents and I'd like to think my family would immediately remove my nephew from the lounge if he kicked up a fuss.

A TG Star Alliance Gold can bring a guest into the SKL?? How is this so when a Krisflyer Elite Gold can't even access Changi SilverKris Lounge?

Flying J on SQ/Star Alliance carrier + Star Gold status = 1 guest into SKL
Flying J on SQ/Star Alliance carrier with Star Silver or no status = no guest
Flying Y on SQ/Star Alliance carrier with Star Gold status = 1 guest into KF Gold lounge

When I have flown SQ Y with UA *G, I have brought my wife into KF Gold lounge in SIN, and SKL in PER.
