JL: JFK-BKK $2908 Business

A nice US-originating fare. Depending on date, may require (offer?) long layover in TYO and/or an airport change. Travel MON-THU on transpacific sector.

This is X class, earning AA flyers approx $4800 EQDs and 38,000 EQMs ex JFK. Same fare from LAX as well.

NB: I class only earns 20% EQD on AA code, and a paltry 14% on JL code. X class on JL earns 25%.

Also, the min stay on the JL fare is only 12 hours.

If you do want to book via AAVacations, definitely consider calling a travel agent, who can get you the same price with a very low upfront deposit and balance due just 45 days before departure.

Damnit I booked this the other day but at 3280. One of the tyo--bkk legs is from nrt and therefore in angled flat. I called Orbitz to change and costs 400$ .
to cancel is 800$ . Ahhh!
Any suggestions?

Not immediately helpful, but suggest you contact a travel agent before committing to an OTA booking next time...

AAVacations packages booked through your travel agent instead of direct are extended this perk. The price is the same as booking direct. I have booked business class packages on AAVacations for FT clients with as little as a $200 deposit (with bulk air, of course). Balance due 45 days prior to departure.

GF shows it as low as $2877 starting in May.

And, the JL X fare is the one for AS MP earning as it's 125% EQM's and 350% RDM's (for MVP Gold 75K members.)

Yes I am seeing the lower numbers but when I try to book, the OTAs reprice up.

I'm seeing it available on JL's website and bookable. If you're having trouble, check with NYC Flyer as he's a TA.

Can someone post the full fare rules?

I click on the OPs link. It shows the expected price in GF. I click on CheapoAirs OTA link and the price jumps up to $6,619 USD.
