No Krug at all loaded on PVG > SIN???
Just finished a wonderful flight from PVG to SIN in the new suites. I'll try to post some pics and do a bit of a review later, but...
We were celebrating my wife's birthday and obviously chose this particular flight for several reasons. One of wich was choosing SQ to be able to have the most 1st world of problems and choose between Dom or Krug. But during the pre departure beverage service a gentleman informed us that they had no Krug on board and that the must have drank it all on the way to PVG! I was quite dissapointed as my wife and I have never tried Krug before.
Not sure what to think of it, if this is fairly common or if I should raise a fuss over it at all?

I would make a fuss, not having the primary Champagne in F is unacceptable, it’s the one thing they should not run out of.
Presumably they had a full page spread on the Wonders of Krug & then didn’t bother to load enough

Not sure if I will, but who would you suggest speaking to. A lounge representative, send an email to SQ, social media or is there a place I can submit a review online.

SQ are usually good at responding to product related concerns, so I would email them or submit online form to customer service. Social media (other than these sort of specialist forums) is probably not the right target. Raising on forums like facebook etc, is probably not the right place, simply because the audiences there are probably more concerned with economy problems, not just missing out on Krug in First.

The goofy thing is its not as if they ran out or didn't load enough, they didn't have any to begin with...

On arrival you could have gone to TPR and have some KRUG there - first world problems, but there is an expectation of service deliverables when you fly a permium airline upfront

Am I mistaken, do they offer Krug in TPR?

I was on TPE-SIN flight. I asked if the have (Pokka) Oolong Tea. The girl rolled her eyes, but the guy knew what I want and he told me only on Japan flight they have it. I commented that they used to serve it on TPE flight and he acknowledge and told me no more the case now

Will I be happy with an apology...well I already got lots of those during the flight. That however does not change my experience. Truley the flight was wonderful, but at the same time it was extremely dissapointing to not be able to enjoy the Krug. This was a birthday celebration / surprise for my wife and honestly we both love Champagne and have never had the Krug. We love wines and comparing them. A year ago we were flying Emerites 1st and had the opportunity to try side by side the Dom Pérignon 2009 vs The Dom Pérignon P2. It was a fantastic experience that they were able to deliver on.
As for compensation, if I were to be truly righted, I think the next time we're flying 1st class on SQ it would be a nice gesture if they sent us off with a fresh bottle of Krug to enjoy on our own. While I won't hold my breath, and I'll still look forward to my next flights with them, this would be a solution that would keep in line with world class service.
