Thanks for posting this! I've never actually used the UK version of the International Airline Programme before -- only the US one -- but I see that it's only available for QR/EY/EK (https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/b...e-program.html).

How restrictive is it with fares/dates? For example, the US version only works on trips that originate in the US or Canada. Is the IAP offered by the UK Plat available for all ex-EU cities? If you've used it before, what's the discount, roughly speaking - I would assume something like 10-15% but it'd be helpful if there are data points.

I called Amex UK to enquire about what the programme meant, when booking an ex-ARN trip on EY; they told me it was valid only on ex-UK departures. The occasional discounts, however, are valid on (seemingly) anything – I took £200 off a £1985 CPH-DOH-SYD rt in J just the other week, with a "£200 off £600+ spend" offer on my platinum card.

Good to know - thanks! I do like those £200 off £600 (Plat) and £50 off £200 (Gold) offers that seem to pop up once or twice a year -- makes the annual fee much more palatable...

It's not only valid on ex-UK departures, I've used it for QR flights from CDG quite a few times, also booked a one way BKK-CDG flight with it recently.
