I don’t know what happened (some security issue according to the airports twitter feed
) and the CRJ is back in MUC according to FR24.

There were a bunch of other diversions from LYS this pm, to GVA but also to Grenoble and Valence: check out https://www.flightradar24.com/data/a...s/lys/arrivals

Thanks, that is unusual, a Friend who lives in Lyon alerted me to the particular flight irregularity.

A few flights had to divert, but should be over now.

Better safe than sorry, I guess. Strange that some flights could land and others did not.

Looks like the diverted flight were among the shortest, probably with lower reserve fuel relative to the other ones.

Some other flights were holding or actually in approach to GVA when LYS opened again

That‘s, of course, possible. Hope we will learn what went wrong there. (will fly MUC-LYS soon, so I am kind of curious ....)

Assume all will go well, but let me know if you end up in GVA.

I almost had the opposite a while ago, GVA closed for an emergency and MUC-GVA diverting to LYS. Except that just when we were on final approach to LYS, GVA opened again. So we went around and ended up in GVA after all.

Thanks for the offer. Will have to attend a meeting in Lyon, but if we get diverted to GVA, I will cry out for help. .

Yes, same here & since the closure was short lived at LYS, seems odd LH2250 returned to MUC, instead of continuing to LYS

So far, I haven't been able to find a report.

Hope not another car chase on the runway as last September:

Yes, that car chase was very dramatic, I’m hoping for a drama free trip to LYS
