Question Does seat 41B on 788 exist?

Hi All,
I have an upcoming morning YYZ-SFO flight on AC 788 booked with UA flight number, didn't pay for seat but noticed AC assigned me 41B. However it looks like both AC website and GDS shows no B and J seat in row 41, anyone know what's going on here? Does seat 41B exist on AC 788?
Thanks!

THe AC seat map shows no 41B or J. Perhaps they changed equipment for that flight? A 789? What does loking at the reservation on aircanada.com and trying to change seats show on the seat map?

Still shows 788 on the seat selection tool, with 41B missing and 41A/C occupied by my party.

They'll have to sit you elsewhere... If it's this week, looks like there are enough seats. Next week seems overbooked. Week after looks OK.
I would phone AC reservations.

Depends if you feel like getting IDBed for $800
Of course, they might as likely just put you into an even worse seat.

O1E1 seems odd.

Update: Just checked in online, AC put us in D/E/G of another row, so the previous 41A/B/C is system glitch? Do you think it has something to do with UA flight number and ticket?

Boeing 787-8 (788) seating questions

5A/K sucks for 788 because it’s missing a window. Literally every other seat is fine.

I’ve always sat in 1A/2A for this plane but a equipment swap / full J got me placed into this seat. It sucked for my OCD … ugh lol 😂

That's why I like 5A/K on the 788 because there are no windows.
You forgot to mention that the 789 has a window missing at 4A/K.

Other posts re missing windows in J on the 788 and 789 are likely buried in this thread, but for clarification, here is the info from the wiki in the Dreamliner thread. I've also added a note to the wiki for this thread up top.

The Air Canada 787-8/-9 Dreamliner Discussion Thread

*FAQ:
Q: On the 787-9 (789), which seats in J are missing windows?
A: Rows 5 and 8 on both port and starboard sides have only one window, instead of two on all other port/starboard J seats.

Q: On the 787-8 (788), which seats in J are missing windows?
A: Only row 5 port and starboard sides have zero windows.

Q: Does the middle J seats' middle divider come down?
A: No, on the 788 and 789 the middle divider does not come down and is fixed in place. In fact, all Dream Cabin (788, 789, 77L, 77W) middle dividers are fixed and do not come down.

Excited to report my first ever AC B788 Y experience. For reasons a few here know, I chose to fly today’s AC 101 in Y. I had a nice seat in the ABC side, I even brought a pillow just in case 😂. I was pretty impressed with the space and seat, much better than whatever they call those Y things on the MAX. Cabin felt really spacious.

There were a lot of empty seats, approx 100 I was told. So I asked permission to move to an empty row of 3.

So I was able to enjoy a B788 “Y Lie-flat” 😂. I had previously enjoyed them on AC’s A32x aircraft as well as a pre-refurb 77W, but this was great.

Also, excellent wing-porn once the sun came up.
