FAQ : 2018 timetable : BA flights, operated by Titan Airways

Does anyone have any experience flying J on a Titan wet lease? Do you know what I can expect in the way of F&B service? Seating? I take it I still earn the same TPs as though it was BA?

Same food, same drink, same Tier Points, same Avios, same OLCI (probably!), same baggage allowances, same lounge access. Different crew, different seat, no middle table but usually the middle seat is blocked.

There is (or at least was) a Titan 767, so 2-3-2. I presume that would follow the BA pattern in that area (becoming 2-2-2 in CE).

It would be funny if someone got the old BabyBus A318, which went to Titan and is still CW flat beds.

They could use it on LHR-LBA so that an A319 can be freed up for a service that needs more than 5 seats

I noticed some handy flights recently LHR-NCL with out of sequence flight numbers (e.g. the last of the day was BA1328 rather than BA1338) I was told they were there for slot sitting purposes, but I've used them a few times.

BA Leased Titan A320 Seating

I'm looking at MAH (Mahon, Menorca) in September and see that some flights are operated by Titan A320s. Some questions before I decide which days of the week to fly:

Have BA leased the 180 or 168 Y seat version (or both)?
What is the Y seating like (comfort, pitch and recline)?
Are the J seats the same (seat type and pitch) but with a spare seat in between?

There was a discussion recently here:

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...n-airways.html

I don't know which version they will lease but if you check the seat map this should tell you which one.

One flight has 28 rows ŕ 6 seats so the 168Y version.

I know they have in the past used the 168 seat version which is fairly similar to the exBMI A320s. Seats are bit thicker, not a huge amount of space at knee level but there is space under the seat. I can't recall for certain if they recline, but I think they do. CE was formed by just leaving the middle seats empty. I don't know whether the 180 seater is in the frame here.
