Still learning!

Having sadly missed out on the earlier CAI-HNL thread, I’ve been trying to find comparable options.

Having selected a Central European airport (FRA) and selected the ‘nearby’ option within 1000 miles for outward and return, it threw up some interesting choices. I haven’t had time yet to play with it fully, but have managed £1973 for 860TPs. Those in CFU, ATH also came up which have 80TPs each way, so you can get quite creative. It’s the usual 2 free in North America each way, plus unlimited in Europe for €150.

Apologies for the earlier, duplicates, the initial loadings stated errors, now deleted. Thanks for bearing with me !

Hmm, this fare while interesting has a lot of restrictions. 90 Day AP, unlimited stopovers on the outbound, but stopovers on the inbound are EUR600 each and no changes permitted at all. High risk for booking so far in advance.

Are you sure stopovers on the outbound are free? I'm reading it as €600 for both directions in the US.

I also read the rules as saying unlimited stopovers in Europe (EUR150 each) and US/CA/MEX (EUR600 each)... you do get 2 free transfers in each direction if you stick to OW metal. 1 free transfer only if it’s OW+ non-OW partner.
If you had overnight stops coming in/heading out internationally that’s still a transfer as long as it’s under (I think) 12 hrs for domestic and 24 hrs for international.

At over £2000 it’s no bargain.

perhaps more importantly JFK PHX HNL is,in my experience, a tough flight. The 757 PHX HNL should be avoided.

AA used to typically offer free stopover on these fares and also to S. Central America - but alas no longer.
