It could be interesting to watch DL's fares on this business oriented route. IME it's been expensive in the past.

If it is anything like the ATL-BOS service on B6 that started this year DL will mostly ignore it and not adjust pricing one penny.

Whoo-hoo! We fly that route as a family annually and it's often $600+ per ticket. Regardless of what Delta does, I'm thrilled to have an alternative.

ATL-BOS one-way V fares on DL are $75. I'd hardly say they are ignoring them. DTW-BOS one-way V fares (another B6 route) are currently $88. Meanwhile, DL one-way V fares on MSP-BOS are $188 (Tue/Wed/Sat only, also with time-of-day requirements). Although they'd likely be higher without Sun Country on the route.

I have been flying Sun Country on the MSP-BOS and always find it to be significantly less.
However with the proposed negative changes to Sun Country i was planning on abandoning them.

Jet Blue to the rescue.

I think this hurts SY more than DL. DL lowers the price of MSP/BOS and shifts the cost by $.5 to several other markets and it's a wash at MSP. SY has a lot less margin to shift costs around

Delta has been paying a ton of attention to B6 on the BOS-ATL route. When you go to book BOS-ATL they advertise the new A321s they are using on the route with seatback entertainment (presumably) to highlight how they are putting some of their best aircraft on this route.

I'm just really enjoying the fare wars B6 is starting out of here in Boston. I find more and more lower fares as a result of the strong competition.

I've seen $64 BNA-BOS fares after B9 came into Nashville. DL matches these prices and SW. Although with DL being a regional and 737/321s on SW and B9, I'm inclined to go elsewhere.

Yes, they are too extremely expensive, but there is no cheap price after all the those years.

Boston pricing is highly variable, from downright reasonable to obscene. I'm paying $1100 for a flight next week. I've paid as little as $269, always for essentially a two- or three-night, all week-day stay. I'm hoping that JetBlue leads Delta to drop those high-end prices. Yay for competition!

I never priced MSP/BOS but I fly MSP/BDL nonstop on DL 3X's a year for 25K miles R/T.

If BOS costs more Maybe Windsor Locks is an option as it's only ~ 2 hours from Boston

It just doesn't work that way. My Econ 201 class in college says that if they could raise the price by $.5 they would have already done so. The market price is the market price. More competition is always good for the consumer and never good for the company.
