Are you thinking of lalala? It's just a characterization, not a title.

I saw in someone's profile "*wood personal friend" or something like it. Is this a higher status available by invitation only for seriously profitable guests?

Do Hyatt, Hilton or Marriott reciprocate the Plat comp for *wood members?

Yes. People have used SPG Plat to get comped to Hyatt Diamond. Hilton more often than not seems to go for "challenges" for Diamond but gives Gold away for essentially free (if not free entirely).

The quote you are using from me was posted March 15, 2004 and would have been true at that time because it was giving more than 12 months status due to the system being set up to give at least 12 months.

Are you bored that you had to dredge up comments of mine from over a year ago thinking they were from today?

Sincerely,

Sorry William - my error.....I don't know that it is boredom so much as exhaustion from a rough work week....I'd love to get paid to surf flyertalk though.

No problem. RE: rough work week...been there, done that, have the t-shirt to prove it.

Have a nice weekend regardless of how short it may seem.

Still possible?

Is it still possible to get *wood Plat by being HH Diamond?

Is this policy still in place? I'm considering jumping hotel brands (Hyatt's locations are just too limited), but I've already got 12 stays (8 for status) invested towards next year's Hyatt Diamond status. However, if I can get a Starwood status match through Feb. 2007, I can abandon those and will defintely make the move. ^

I doubt I could do 25 more stays by the end of 2005, though.

I hoping to comp Platinum for next year. My travel pattern this year will only allow me to keep HH Diamond and make SPG Gold!

Just so you know...if you have ever been Platinum in SPG before, we're not going to comp your status based upon reaching top tier in another program.

How about lower levels of Hilton

Based on company policies last year, I divided my hotel stays between Marriott and Hilton, so I didn't make Hilton Gold again. I started my own company, so now I control where I stay.

Will SPG comp me SPG Gold status if I'm Hilton Silver?
