The 1000 Points Visa promotion was discussed several times in this forum, e.g.

It was first posted by an employee at a HI hotel, who got some trouble after it was posted here. Therefore we have decided to lock this thread, since they cause more trouble, which are not worth the 1000 points. The 1000 points were in some cases not posted, deducted and even some account closed.
