I got a call back from Assurant 2 days after filing BBB complaint. She told me that the info I rec'd from their rep indicating the charges couldn't be waived was untrue....

I paid my rent via Apple Pay through Radpad app and it just posted as travel and I got the 3x points which cancels out the 2.99% fee. Plus, I got the $300 travel credit.
