AA1164 (DFW-LGA) was diverted to PIT last night...

AA1164 (DFW-LGA) was diverted to PIT last night due to the weather and won't leave for LGA until 10:15 am this morning.

What could be the reasons for such a long layover?

It appears that our flight will have 744 configuration and we would like to get bassinet seats. Can anyone suggest good seats with two infants on lap?

Should we go for 33 or 40 E and F? Thanks.

We know that bassinets can be reserved on BA in advance but AA has MCE seats. We are not sure about IB?

We have choices of AA, BA or IB. Is IB a good choice for traveling with babies in coach?
