As much as I love CVG, MSP is a much stronger market, and has much better facilities for a large mainline hub operation. CVG was designed as a midwest RJ connection point with a decent amount of O/D...

Not sure what your problem is dude.

This flight has operated this way for years. It's profitable for Delta, and useful to GE. Otherwise it wouldn't exist.

If you want to dispute this idea, send...

Call me a pessimist, but I don't think that advance updates are coming back. Or the windows will be dramatically reduced (PM/DM at 24 hours, GM/FO at gate).

That's fine. I'm not keeping PM past...

CVG-CDG benefits from having guaranteed GE Aviation parts going to Airbus in France, along with executives. Not to mention other area companies.

I've heard from several sources that this flight...

They're closing the 737 pilot base. The Endeavor base is still open, as is the mainline FA base.

I expect a few more cities to go, but CVG will remain a larger than average operation in the long...

Mandating masks should have taken care of the distance issue, and eliminated the need for blocking off half the plane.

It's not about safety, it's about avoiding the bad PR from the Karens...

Well I guess I have no plans to resume normal Delta travel for at least this year and next, especially if it's on my own dime.

Guess it's time to give those AA nonstops ex-DCA a try...

This is...

Delta needs to cease operations completely or start acting in a reasonable manner. Right now they're bowing to the demands of the paranoid, and are destroying all the good will that their airline has...

MSP is an extremely profitable station. They used an early HND slot on it after all. Slashing DTW would probably make more sense if they had to drop a current hub. IMO they can keep both, but turning...

Delta is at least twice the price of their competitors on most routes (3x if only FC is available). For the worst product of the three, and little to no schedule flexibility.

If Delta doesn't want...

Just looking at my frequent cities, it's pretty clear that Delta is either a step ahead as they've often been, or they've panicked and ceded too much market share.

For example at BTR:

AA: 3x...

PHL-LAX is only 15-20 longer and gets a meal. Anything over 3 hours should.

Then again, this is still better than Delta 🙄

I'd like to see premium cabin service return sooner than that. If TCON D1 can get service, why can't domestic first?

I think it's purely about cost-cutting at this point.

Yeah, the A350 is not capable.

I really think that the airlines are trying to force the US government into a massive rescue at this point. They're just using different strategies.

Regardless,...

Yeah, Delta cut too deep.
