I switched last year after years of AA Exec Plat, and I’m DFW based. DL has much better service, I get upgraded more often, and even with a connection I still often get to my destination quicker...

I’ve been offered a reasonable buy up during OLCI ($900) to La Premiere from paid business on a weekend A380 flight. It was an amazing flight, and certainly one of the best first class products out...

I had a call yesterday from AA customer service, asking why, after so many years as EXP, I’d basically stopped flying them. As it happened, I took the call on my mobile as I was taxiing to the gate...

The current situation at AA under Mr. Parker’s management reminds me of flying Eastern or Braniff, for those old enough to remember them. Those airines could occasionally offer a great and...

I hate the FA credit card pitches inflight so much it was one of the factors in deciding this year to switch my business to Delta after years of being an AA Exec Plat. On AA the standard pre-flight...

There was a small AA Club at Mueller in the 90’s. I recall it was downstairs on the concourse. AA didn’t acquire many assets from BN. They picked up their route authority out of DFW to London, but I...

I'm trying to think of the first time I flew a DC-9 Super 80. I want to say it was around 1986 from LAX to MEM on Republic. The MD-80 was a nice aircraft, but nothing like the 727 it effectively...

Maybe its just my bad luck, but as a DFW based EXP I hardly ever clear upgrades anymore. If EXP’s don’t clear upgrades, there’s not much advantage to being Pro over being Plat. Pro will just put...

Agree. I've flown both 777 and 767-300 to Paris in Business in the last six months. Day or night, the 767-300 is much better in Business than the 777-200 dog they put on the DFW to CDG run.
